YPJ Plantations Sdn. Bhd. has signed a MoU with Cenergi RE Sdn Bhd to develop and operate a 1.2MW biogas power plant adjacent to the palm oil mill in Kota Tinggi, Johor in 3 September 2025. This development contributes positively to ESG aspirations and optimising the palm oil process by utilising palm oil mill effluent (POME). Expected to begin operations in 2027, the plant will generate renewable energy injected into the grid, preventing over 𝟮𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 annually — the equivalent of taking about 4,500 cars off the road each year.

Mohd Aznawi bin Mohd Samin as Chief Executive Officer, YPJ Plantations Sdn. Bhd. The management and staff of the YPJ Holdings Group also read the Integrity Pledge witnessed by MACC officers.
YPJ Plantations Sdn. Bhd. has signed a MoU with Johor Plantations Group Berhad (JPG) to focus on enhancing plantation productivity through initiatives such as the procurement and processing of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), sustainability advisory services with an emphasis on Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification, and the adoption of digital technologies, agronomic practices and mechanisation in 4 August 2025.
The session of handing over the certificate and views of the Auditor General on the auditing of companies through the e-selfaudit system for the year 2025 in the state of Johor to YPJ Plantations Sdn. Bhd. represented by Tuan Haji Mohd Aznawi bin Mohd Samin. Also present was Tuan Haji Farizal bin Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of YPJ Holdings Sdn. Bhd. which is the parent body of YPJ subsidiaries on 29 July 2025. The implementation of e-SelfAudit auditing, introduced by the National Audit Department in early 2025, plays a role in creating a stronger audit culture in the financial management of Government Companies and involves 150 Johor State Government companies out of 1,856 companies audited nationwide.

Alaf Palm Oil Mill has complied with the National Certification system for Biofuel sustainability, renewable source fuel certification and recycled carbon.
